Student Assistant, Group Strategy
Work alongside Flatpay's Strategy team on the analyses leadership uses to make decisions across markets.
About Flatpay
Flatpay is on a mission to power the financial ecosystem of small and medium-sized merchants, simply, transparently, and with a personal touch.
We've grown into Denmark's fastest unicorn company. In less than five years, we've grown to more than 2,500 colleagues across Denmark, Germany, Finland, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy and France.
We're ambitious, move fast, and like to challenge the status quo. We also believe work should be fun.
What you'll do
The Group Strategy team works directly with the CEO, our country Managing Directors, and the broader Flatpay organization. We work on the questions that shape how Flatpay grows: Where we're winning, where we can improve, and what we should do next.
As a Student Assistant in the Group Strategy team, you'll be part of the work from your first week. You'll own parts of analyses, see how your work feeds into leadership decisions, and get close sparring from colleagues with consulting and strategy backgrounds.
Your main tasks will include:
Building analyses for a broad range of topics
Preparing input for senior leadership
Assessing performance across our current and new markets
Researching markets, competitors, and new product opportunities
Turning numbers into clear output and recommendations
Supporting ad hoc requests from HQ and market leadership
Who you are
You're studying a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, business, finance, engineering or another quantitative field, and have at least 1.5 years of studies left
You're strong with numbers, you can work with large datasets, and you check your own work before you hand it over
You can break a broad question into its parts and explain your conclusion clearly in writing and verbally
You take ownership and follow tasks through
You communicate confidently in English (Danish is a plus)
Experience with SQL and/or Python is a plus, but not a requirement
You don't need to know everything from day one. We only ask that you're curious and eager to learn and have fun while doing it!
What we offer
Direct exposure to leadership and to the decisions behind one of Europe's fastest growing Fintechs
A broad view of the business across sales, product, finance, and our local markets
A steep learning curve with close sparring and regular feedback on your work
15-20 hours per week, flexible around exams and study peaks
A fun office environment with breakfast, lunch, snacks, an in-office gym, and even a slush ice machine!
Sounds like you? Submit your application and we'll be in touch about next steps as soon as possible. The process includes a short case interview.
