Group Portfolio Marketing Director
Build Flatpay’s portfolio marketing function, lead a growing team, and drive product launches, adoption and revenue across markets.
About the job
We are one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies, and our customer portfolio is growing rapidly. Our ambitions go beyond payments: we keep launching new products in finance and admin for small and medium-sized businesses, starting with Capital, Banking and Online services. With more products across seven markets, soon eight, we need a strong marketing setup to deliver upsales, product adoption and churn prevention at scale.
Portfolio Marketing means marketing and sales activation toward our existing customers, to cross-sell, improve product adoption and prevent churn.
You will build this function. It is the first and most important hire in a new team, with 6-10 more hires planned over the next 12 months. Given the size of the portfolio and the pace of launches, the work looks more like an acquisition go-to-market than traditional lifecycle marketing.
You will report to the CMO and lead the Marketing Automation and Content teams dedicated to the portfolio. You will work closely with our specialists in media buying, creative performance and data & analytics. You will own a revenue target for the portfolio, together with our commercial organization.
What you'll do
Start with the ambition. Translate our business goals into a portfolio marketing system, and build backwards from the revenue we need.
Drive net dollar retention. Deliver upsales, product adoption and churn prevention at scale across all markets from day one.
Launch products like an acquisition GTM. Plan and execute go-to-market motions for new products across the customer base.
Build the team. Hire the Portfolio Marketing team across Marketing Automation and Content, and set the direction for both.
Own the target. Set the portfolio revenue target together with the commercial organization, and report on what the portfolio delivers.
Run it with performance discipline. Test, measure and scale what works. Use paid channels, creative and data where they outperform other levers.
Align the stakeholders. Work with the CMO, the Chief Portfolio Officer and the Managing Directors in each market so that group priorities and local realities fit together.
Who you are
You are highly commercial. You start with the business's ambitions and build the marketing system from there.
You are well versed in performance marketing and comfortable owning a revenue target.
You have built and led teams of at least 10 people, including leading other managers.
You can turn data into a clear recommendation, and you present it with confidence to senior leaders and market MDs.
You are curious. You ask why, test your assumptions and change your mind when the evidence says so.
You are a builder. You are comfortable with speed and ambiguity, and with setting up structure where it doesn't exist yet.
You communicate clearly in English.
Experience in portfolio, lifecycle or CRM marketing is not required, and neither is hands-on experience with automation platforms. You lead the motion and set the team up to deliver it.
