About the role

As our first Head of People & Talent Acquisition in Switzerland, you’ll build the people function from scratch. You’ll recruit multiple new colleagues every month, set up the processes that let us grow responsibly, and make Flatpay the workplace Swiss talent wants to join. You’ll partner directly with the Managing Director and local leadership team, and you’ll build your own People team as we scale.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a market entry from day one, designing and implementing people and talent acquisition initiatives that align with our business objectives while cultivating a culture of excellence and growth.


What you'll do

• Own talent acquisition end to end: Design and run the full recruitment process with hiring managers, from pipeline and channel strategy to job postings and interviews, to hit ambitious hiring targets.

• Shape the people strategy: Work with the Managing Director and leadership team to develop and deliver HR strategies that support our business goals.

• Run HR operations: Set up and manage the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.

• Support our people: Handle employee relations, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive, high-performing culture.

• Ensure compliance: Keep us compliant with Swiss labor law, manage risk, and drive best practices.

• Build your team: Hire and lead the People team as we grow.

Who you are

• Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven experience in talent acquisition and HR operations in a fast-paced environment, ideally supporting growth or building new teams.

• Solid knowledge of Swiss labor law, payroll, and benefits administration.

• Hands-on and proactive, with the ability to build processes from scratch, juggle priorities, and partner closely with managers across our business.

• Commercial mindset, comfortable analyzing financial and people metrics.

• Leadership experience is an advantage, since you’ll build and lead your team over time.
